A T8 tube light is identified through its product code - the ‘T’ for tubular, and ‘8’ being the diameter. The number immediately following the T gives the diameter of the lamp in eighths of an inch (⅛”). This means that the T8 tube light is 8/8” (meaning one inch) in diameter.
